Wendy Catherall - L.I.S.T.D.(Ballet, Modern and Tap) - Founder of the Elsber School Of Theatre Dance. Wendy trained at the International Ballet School in London under the direction of Mr Andrew Hardie. Her professional work includes, many musicals, touring the UK, Berlin (East as it was then!!) and Italy (The Student Prince and Vagabond King to name but a few!!). She also danced with the Handel Opera Company at Saddler’s Wells, London. Wendy has made numerous appearances in many films of days gone by (but she won’t admit to many of them!!! – although we do know of some, including ‘Carry On Regardless’, ‘Summer Holiday’ and some dodgy Audrey Hepburn film about nuns - or nurses, that we don’t know the name of!!). She founded the school in 1968. Both she and ‘it’ are still going strong


Rachel Catherall - A.I.S.T.D. (Ballet, Modern, Tap and National) - trained here The Elsber School of Theatre Dance, Buckley and Merseyside Dance and Drama Centre, Liverpool. After graduating from dance college, Rachel danced professionally all over the world for many companies and cruise lines, including Chandris / Celebrity Cruise Lines, working her way up to dance captain. She went on to be Resident Artistic Director for the European leg of the top Irish dance show, Spirit Of The Dance tour. As choreographer, her credits include: Romeo and Juliet, The Four Seasons, A Chorus of Disapproval, Arcadia and The Cherry Orchard, directed by Terry Hands CBE; A View From The Bridge, Hobson's Choice, Flights Of Fancy, Home Front, The Way It Was, The Voayge, The Grapes Of Wrath, The Timeless Myths of the Mabinogion, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twilight Tales, Great Expectations and Yesterday, directed by Time Baker; The Glass Menagerie, directed by Kate Wasserberg and the European Premier of, Shakespeare's Will, directed by Emma Lucia all for Clwyd Theatr Cymru; The Chester Mystery Plays, directed by Robin Goddard; Celtic Dreams (The Irish Sensation), for LM Productions, including a special re-worked version for the NHK cruise ship, The Assuka II. Ten different themed production shows for Explosive Productions Ltd at Center Parcs, Penrith. Peter Pan, Cinderella, Aladdin, Snow White, Jack and the Beanstalk and Dick Whittington and the Pirate Adventure, directed by David McNeill for the Sands Centre, Carlisle; Riverdance Experience, for Main Feature Productions; Ten productions shows for Mirage Shows & Productions Ltd, onboard Page & Moy's Ocean Majesty; and Fred Olsen's Boudicca and Black Watch cruise ships and many one night coporate events, including An Evening With Paul Daniels. Rachel was also choreographer and dance consultant for the 2006 Barclays Spaces For Sports national campaign, fronted by Darren Gough. Rachel will soon be choreographing Clwyd Theatr Cymru's forthcoming production of, Dancing At Lughnasa, directed by Kate Wasserberg.

Alexandra Wilson - A.I.S.T.D. (Ballet and Modern) and A.R.A.D. - Trained at the Hammond School Of Dance, Chester from the age of 11 through 19, she then went on to dance professionally and toured Japan and the far east in various dance companies. She is now a freelance dance teacher and teaches ballet for the school.

Dawn Hughes - Conroy - A.I.S.T.D. (Modern and Tap) - trained at the Hammond School, Chester as a school associate from the age of four, taking ISTD and RAD exams. In 1999, Dawn went full time on the Musical Theatre Course. Dawn graduated in 2002 with a Trinity national Diploma in Professional Dance and teaching qualifications in ISTD Modern and Tap. In August 2002, Dawn began teaching at Aalesand Ballettskole in Norway and in 2003 choreographed the musical theatre production of My Fair Lady for the Norwegian National Opera. Dawn continued to teach at Balletskole and choreograph and perform for various other Norwegian companies until her return to England in 2004. On her return, Dawn taught for the Elsber School of Theatre Dance for a year, before going to teach at Ecosse Performer’s College in Scotland and in 2005, choreographed the touring production of The Lion King and the following year, the touring production of, Beauty & the Beast. In 2007, she returned home to Chester and now teaches for the Elsber School of Theatre Dance, the North Wales School of Dance and also at West Cheshire College.
